Lemon balm tea is a decaffeinated herbal tea, it is also known as Melissa tea. It is brewed from dried or fresh leaves of a perennial herbaceous plant, from the mint family known as ‘lamiaceae’. It is native to South Central Europe, the Mediterranean Basin, Iran, and Central Asia; where lemon balm tea has been cultivated for over 2000 years. Lemon balm tea contains minerals such as citronellol, caryophyllene, linalool, citronellal polyphenols (eugenol, eraniel and tannins) and other essential oils (citral and lemon) Lemon balm tea has a light delicate yet fresh lemony flavor and has a beautifully scented aroma.
